My name is Daniel Li Wan Wang, the director of the Melbourne Centre for Writing.

Fully accredited as an English teacher with a Master of Teaching degree and Graduate Diploma of Education from The University of Melbourne, I was a Secondary English and Humanities teacher at Lighthouse Christian College Cranbourne, and Waverley Christian College Narre Warren South. I also have experience with a wide range of professional tuition companies – namely Edu-Kingdom, CS Education, Kumon Australia, and DaDaABC.

Having been registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, I know exactly what schools require to get top marks. I understand the techniques and teach only what is necessary. Students and parents have overwhelmingly reported positive feedback, including testimonials about how my custom lessons have improved written expression, but more importantly, how students have come to genuinely enjoy English.

Students enjoy English because English is my passion – as a craft and an art form. This is best reflected in 2012, where I was awarded Australian Christian Teenage Writer from Sparklit. More recently, it has been announced that I am Young Australian Christian Writer of 2020.
